In EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) application, DFI provide a multifunctional product that is designed to aid in the enhancement of the oil production by increasing relative permeability as well as reducing swollen clays. Its unique molecular structure coats proppant and the formation leaving a slick coating that improves the relative permeability by wetting the surface and reduces clay swelling by replacing the water in the pore spaces of the clay as well as coating the clay.

Most heavy oil wells have problems with production because of high viscosity of the oil in the tubing. When crude oil flows into a wellbore, pressure and temperature are reduced and as the oil/water solution cools, the paraffins change to a solid form. The paraffin deposits obstruct the flow of crude oil and water particles cause problems. DFI provides Enercat tool that creates vibrational energy to stabilize the original micelle structure to prevent paraffin from turning into solid form
